Everything Crashing when using certain words

Hi - I'm using Everything 1.5.0.1383a. There is an issue with Everything search. Basically, it crashes when I try to search/use certain words. For example if I type (without quotes) the following: "Execution " i.e., the word Execution and then a space Everything crashes. I'm trying to search for files containing the word "Execution Plan". Similarly, Everything crashes like this for certain other words. Any advice on how I can resolve this issue or can the developers fix this issue?

A bad shell icon extension can cause Everything to crash when changing the search.

Please try disabling icon shell extensions in Everything:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Advanced tab on the left.
• To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
  icon
• Select: icon_shell_extensions
• Set the value to: false
• Click OK.

Does the issue persist?

Thanks for the reply, but the issue still persists even after disabling icon_shell_extensions.

Please try forcing a rebuild:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Click Force Rebuild.
• Click OK.

Are you showing thumbnails?
-If so, please try viewing in details (View -> Details) and see if the issue persists.



Is a crash dialog shown?
-If so, please upload a mini crash dump as a bug report.
