How to Make the Word Order in Searches Unimportant

Post by HungerFreeze »

I'm stupid with computers.

Right now, when I run a search, the order of the search words matters. For example, if I search for "Naked Pictures" on my kid's computer", it will miss a folder that's labeled "Pictures of Naked People".

Can I change a setting so that the word order in searches doesn't matter anymore?

*I need help quick! I need to quickly search his computer for any incriminating stuff. The little twerp is currently blackmailing me on something else and I need leverage. :oops:

lol.

So, if you encapsulate your search terms in quotes, it will search for that string exactly. If you omit the quotation marks, then it will search in the manner you described.

Compare:
"Naked Pictures"
Naked Pictures
The better solution, however, is simple. Change the search filter to Picture via
Menu -> Search -> Picture
and then change the results to Large Thumbnails via
Menu -> View -> Large Thumbnails
. Then just scroll down until paydirt.

Enjoy.

Works fine here "demux avi" and "avi demux"(the correct name) shows the same folder
If you enable Search=>Match Path,you will get more results
