I did not search a file that exists on my computer by Everything . I thought the file was deleted by mistakes, but I found it in the same folder. Actually, the other files in the folder can be searched.
I copy the file and pasted it to another folder, then I find I can search it.
So, what is wrong? thanks

Re: I can't search a file that exists in my computer
That was a clever test, to copy the 'missing' file to another folder!
With that clue, the most likely explanation is this:
On older versions of Everything it was possible - under rare conditions - that it missed a file.
Solution: Update to Everything-1.4.1.906 and
Force a rescan of your files (Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > Force Rebuild

Dear NotNull, thanks for your suggestion.
I had a try following your suggestions. Seemingly, it is working.
Thanks again!
