Kind of a new user to everything, so I might be missing something obvious but is there a way to have multiple indexes without them intermingling?
My situation is that I have multiple external HDs that I want to index but I want to keep the contents separate. So when I want to search the contents in disk A, I want to load that index. Same with disk B.
I think the File List feature is close to what I want but the file list is not updated when I make changes to the drives. Since the drives are not constantly plugged in, it's hard to do so.
So is there a way to accomplish what I want to do?
How to have multiple, separate indexes?
Re: How to have multiple, separate indexes?
You can use named instances for this purpose, see the help.
But to search only for files on a certain drive there is no need for separated indexes.
