Application prioritization
Application prioritization
I was wondering if there was a feature that allowed everything's search index to prioritize applications for every search. For instance the windows 10 search engine only seems to pull up the shortcuts. I would prefer if they just showed up at the top and then the most relevant files showed up underneath them as per the typical search.
Re: Application prioritization
Over time, HIstory will prioritize based on (search date | search count | search).
As it is now, for me, typing a 'b', will bring up beyondo.exe, first choice, from history.
Likewise, various other programs that I run regularly, are now at the top of the list, so 'bas' brings up bas_sandboxie.bat ...
Not quite what you're looking for but if you're wanting a "program launcher", in some respects, Everything can do it.
(Suppose you could also fudge search history, pre-load items you want to "pop", by manually editing Search History.csv [after having closed Everything].)

Re: Application prioritization
Hey, thanks for the reply. That is awesome to hear and should be good enough for my purposes. One follow up question though: Do I specifically need to open programs from the everything search to receive historical data or do can i open it anywhere on my computer and it will log it? Ie. if open blender from my desktop shortcut then the next time i search "b" will blender most likely be the first to come up.
