Different global hotkeys for searching in entire computer or the current folder

Post by sibojan »

Right now, there is only one global hotkey to call Everything.
By entering /hotkey_explorer_path_search=1/0, we can define the behavior as searching in the entire computer or in the current folder.
To make it work better, it is desired to have two different global hotkeys to control those two behaviors simultaneously. So, we can call either one as we like.
For example:
Ctrl + F, search in the entire computer.
Ctrl + G, search in the current folder.

A quick idea (not tested):

In Menu:Tools > Options > General > Keyboard:
- Show window = hotkey1
- Toggle window = hotkey2

Or activate another program and activate Everything from there. Now you will have an empty searchbar.

I tested the - Show window = hotkey1/- Toggle window = hotkey2. It did not work.

Hopefully, this feature can be supported natively.
