Set time to wait after typing a symbol before searching

I'd like to see an option where a user can put the number of milliseconds to wait before the search triggers, like in DB Browser for SQLite - if I'm entering a phrase, I don't want the search to happen before I'm done typing. It seems that there is a delay already, but it is too short for my liking and I'd like to be able to customize it.

In the meantime ...

you could disable the "Search as you type" option. In that case you have to add an <Enter> after you completed your query.
This option can be found here: Menu:Tools > Options > General > UI
