Hi everyone, first of all, english is not my native language so sorry if you find some mistakes. So I have a simple problem: if I start Everything from the tray icon:
...it starts almost instantly
Now, that requires at least 2 clicks, so I prefer to open the program from the taskbar shortcut:
...in this case, it also opens almost instantly sometimes, but SOME OTHER TIMES, it takes as long as 3 seconds to open the window!
IS THERE A WAY TO CLICK ON THE TASKBAR SHORTCUT BUT OPEN THE TRAY ICON BY DOING SO?
Thanks in advance.
Start from Tray Icon
Re: Start from Tray Icon
To open Everything with a single click from the tray icon:Now, that requires at least 2 clicks
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the UI tab.
- Check Single click tray.
- Click OK.
Sounds like Everything was not running when you clicked the taskbar button....in this case, it also opens almost instantly sometimes, but SOME OTHER TIMES, it takes as long as 3 seconds to open the window!
Please make sure Everything runs at system startup:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab.
- Check Start Everything on system startup.
- Click OK.
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the UI tab.
- Check Check Run in background.
- Click OK.
Re: Start from Tray Icon
I know about the single tray click, but like I said, I prefer to use the taskbar shortcut because Im used to in my other computer where it always starts instantly.
These are my settings:
As you can see, everything you suggest is marked. Thanks anyway.
