Can't see/find some ISO files

Post by JCN9801 »

I just created a ShadowProtect Recovery ISO in my AppData/local/StorageCraft.... folder and Everything is blind to see it. After multiple forced builds and explicitly adding that folder. It sees other ISO files across my entire system, on external drives, etc. I had to add the lowest level folder /Rebuidler to get it to see it. What is the point of the tool if you have to find the file yourself first ;) ???

Is it something you actually "create" or do you just download it?
And if the latter, is it anything different from any other download?

And if not, then I don't see why ".iso" (assuming that is the file extension in question) would not have found it.

Are you sure you didn't have a filter set affecting your results?

That is on a local, NTFS, indexed drive?
(And %APPDATA%/local/ is not excluded or something like that?)
(I see you used forward slashes, which I am apt to do too, because I find them easier to write.)

Yeah, it is something I created. But I made some DVD movies (ISO) over last few months and they are found.
I just removed that lowest level folder from the include list and presto that ISO went immediately to "no longer in results"

This is just bizarre! I have never had a problem: Everything literally finds "everything"! I love this product!!!

I checked and I have no filters set!
It even correctly listed an ISO that was downloaded with similar name: containing "ShadowProtect..." it finds that one!
(it is in a Program File sub-folder...

Sorry about the "/" instead of the politically correct "\" :P
Didn't Bill Gate once express regret about this fork in the road decision?

SOLVED!

So sorry guys!

Yes it was a filter precluding seeing this particular ISO.
It must be considered a system file.

I cleared the filter and it is visible.

No wolf this time!
