Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64)
Everything 1.3.4.686 (x64)
I opened Computer and selected drive I, which is the USB port for a flash drive. I right-clicked and selected Search Everything from the pull-down context menu. I saw in the status bar at the bottom of the Everything window that drives C, D, and J (partitions of two internal hard drives on my PC) were searched along with drive I. The result was "0 objects".
I repeated the above but selected Agent Ransack from the pull-down context menu. Agent Ransack found 609 items: 135 folders and 474 files. (Agent Ransack is available from http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/.)
For this task, I would prefer to use Everything instead of Agent Ransack since Everything is faster. Also Agent Ransack is designed to search within files for specified strings, and I only wanted to see the dates of the most recent files on the flash drive. Why can Everything not find anything on my flash drive?

Is the drive NTFS formatted?
If so, check your settings in Options | Indexes -> NTFS.
If not, you will need to use something like the File List feature.
