updated, setting have disappeared

I just updated Everything after it told me an update was available (to 1.3.4.686 (x64)). I had it set to only search certain folders, but that and anything else I had customized is simply gone. I think this happened the last time I updated as well. It's extremely frustrating, and I suppose I should just avoid updating in future, but is there any way to get my settings back?

Most settings will transfer from Everything 1.2 to Everything 1.3

However, Exclude settings are incompatible between Everything 1.2 and 1.3. Upgrading to Everything 1.3 will reset your Exclude settings. You will need to re-add excluded folders and filters. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I was upgrading from 645 to 686 with the Setup.exe, and the setup-program (not everything.exe) was replacing the Everything.ini (with all of my custom settings) in %appdata%\Everything with a default one.

Is this a bug?

This bug can occur when you install Everything to a location that does not contain an Everything.ini.

I have added a fix to my "Things to do" list.
