When I search for (for instance) ".mp3", select all results and play the resulting list (via right click menu) all the files inherit the path of the first (hence, nothing is found). Am I doing anything wrong?

This is a known limitation with "Everything" (and partially Windows) and some context menu items.

I recommend using drag drop.

Support for context menu items of files and folders in different folders will improve in future releases of "Everything".
