HTTP stream skipping

Hello!
i set up Everything on my server, and use its HTTP server to list content of drive so clients can download stuff from it. Alots of these files are multimedia files, and when i was using Apache web server and VLC player to stream content directly from server, i could skip movies to a different location without problems. However, now that i'm using Everything as web server that lists files, i cant use skipping. Is there a way to add skipping support to Everything's web server or is the problem elsewhere?
