First of all, this is a great tool. I have wanted something like this for a while now. One thing I find myself doing after a search is to sort by the file date (descending), because typically the file I want is fairly recent.
I recommend two suggestions (either will work).
1. Maintain the sort settings between uses rather than revert to file name sorting.
2. Easy way to restrict the selection to within some time (e.g. last two weeks or some date)
Thanks again
Maintain Sort Settings
Re: Maintain Sort Settings
Because "Everything" sorts files and folders by name internally, sorting by any other type can have a severe impact on "Everything"'s performance.
I am looking at solutions to improve this.
Optimizing sorting by file information is on my "Things to do" list.
File information is gathered at run time.
It would be extremely slow to sort or search ALL files and folders this way.
Displaying the contents of the USN Journal (recent changes) by date modified is on my "Things to do" list.
This would provide you with an up to date list of recent file changes for the last week or so.
