Can the images posted be displayed as thumbs or resized versions , which can open up fully further on clicking. Some threads do consume a lot of time and bandwidth on account of this.

phpbb doesn't have a low bandwidth mode / thumbnail mode (correct me if I'm wrong).

If the bandwidth usage is an issue, please consider disabling images from voidtools.com and/or blocking third party images from voidtools.com or using a web browser plug-in to manage the loading of images.
