Filters are copied but Bookmarks are cloned

Post by Thy Grand Voidinesss »

[As it is matter of semantics, I do not know if successfully emphasized in the title of this post the difference in behavior but t is as follows:]

When a user when being in

Search > Organize Filters...

copies a Bookmark named e.g.

Code: Select all

Test entry
then what appears is

Code: Select all

Test entry (2)

But when a user being in

Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks...

does the same for a Bookmark with the same name

Code: Select all

Test entry
then what appears is

Code: Select all

Test entry
i.e. without added number at its end

In my humble opinion this should be unified in behavior thus produce the same results - i.e. always with or without (n) indicator. I personally prefer how Filters works, because I often copy them just for a moment to quickly test out some adjustment - thus an automatically added indication to name of a temporary entry provides me with a clear distinction between them allowing me to avoid stupid mistakes and saves the annoyance of having to do this manually in the first place

Bookmarks can have duplicated names.
Everything will not enforce unique bookmark names.

Everything will enforce unique filter names.

Everything will reference the active filter by name.

I will consider an option to use (n) when duplicating bookmark names.
I may allow filters to have duplicated names in a future release and show a warning for duplicated names.

Thank you for the suggestions.
