What am I missing?

I really think I’m missing something somewhere but please help with the following question.

When I do a search, I very often get results that seem like some sort of system files. I don’t want this to happen.

Examples:
Search for: Results
med lots of files ending in ETI
med a bunch of DLL files
med windows media features files

log don’t want devlog files
log don’t want logserver.com files

etc etc

I must be missing a setting somewhere to leave out such “system” files.

Any ideas what I’m missing?

To remove common system files from your Everything index:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Exclude tab on the left.
• Check Exclude system files and folders.
• Click Add Folder....
• Select C:\Windows and click OK.
• Click OK.
