I replaced my computer. I had the Everything Search Engine installed on the old computer. I installed it on the new computer. I have access to the "C" drive of my old computer as an external hard drive. Is there a way to copy and restore the Everything settings including the folder exclusion list from the old installation to the new installation?
Thanks to anybody who can help.
Migrating Everything settings to new computer
Re: Migrating Everything settings to new computer
Copy the settings from the old PC:
Restore settings to the new PC:
- Exit Everything (File -> Exit)
- In Windows Explorer, type in the following address and press ENTER:
%APPDATA%\Everything - Copy all the files in this folder. (for example: copy to a USB stick)
Restore settings to the new PC:
- Exit Everything (File -> Exit)
- In Windows Explorer, type in the following address and press ENTER:
%APPDATA%\Everything
( you may need to make the Everything folder inside %APPDATA% ) - Replace files from your backup above.
- Restart Everything
