It's just a question, but when I include a number of folders/drives in Exclude and then perform a Force Rebuild, I am surprised to see that Everything reads and rebuilds the data from all the drives on the computer, even if I had excluded them from Everything.
I would just like it to rebuild the data from the Non-excluded drives.
That would make the rebuild faster.
Rebuild not excluding the excluded drives....
Re: Rebuild not excluding the excluded drives....
For Everything 1.4, please make sure your drives are not included.
Everything 1.4 will first index your included drives, then remove any excluded folders.
To remove included volumes from your index:
Everything 1.5 will not index excluded volumes.
Everything 1.4 will first index your included drives, then remove any excluded folders.
To remove included volumes from your index:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the NTFS tab on the left.
- For each NTFS volume:
- Check or uncheck Include in database.
- Click OK.
Everything 1.5 will not index excluded volumes.
