phrase search in this forum

Is there a way to search for posts in this forum containing a specific phrase, i.e. the words must be in the specified sequence? e.g. "file id", "end of file". I tried enclosing the phrase in double-quotes and the + sign, with the "search for all terms" radio button selected, but the search returns posts that do not contain the phrase (in addition to those that do contain the phrase, if any).

I don't think quotes are of value, that it is limitation to phpBB's search feature.

Depending, you might be better off with a Google search?

That's a great tip, thanks very much. I hadn't really considered that Google search with an appropriate site: modifier could be an effective tool for searching for forum posts, and for certain searches, better than the forum software's own search mechanism.
