greetings..
whenever i grab a text from a file name or from the web to make a search, this text usually has a load of uncommon characters i don't need it in search, and it's actually crippling the search process and takes a time and headache to clean it up.
it should be "i hope" an alternative way to paste this text in the search filed without these unneeded characters, just past the letters and numbers and convert any other character to space this is including the unicode characters for other languages if possible..
converting these characters to spaces will lead to the most possible results of the original string
this way i save time and grantee a true results i keen to have
proposed alternative way is hotkey/context menu item/both
example characters that should be automatically removed..

Re: [feature request] paste only letters and numbers from the clipboard
I think Ctl+V does something a bit different when you paste?
You can use a bookmarklet (directly from within a web browser) to (on that end) automatically "filter" your selected text.from the web to make a search
Re: [feature request] paste only letters and numbers from the clipboard
i think the default ctrl+v behaver clean up hidden control characters and EOL, but not other characters.
but if i copy a file or folder name it remain the same, and i have to clean it up to do a proper search ..
