force rebuild properties to be manual only

Hi,

I waited sometime to complete the properties indexing of a big number of files but after it was almost completed; it started again from the beginning, so what settings should I apply to avoid this?

Force rebuild will clear your indexed properties.

Changing which properties are indexed can also trigger a full property reindex.



To avoid property reindexing, please don't change any settings under Tools -> Options -> Indexes.



Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the General tab on the left.
• Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
  (if unchecked Everything might be unable to save your index to disk)
• Uncheck Run as administrator.
• Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
• Click OK.
• Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
• Restart Everything.
