I try to edit a file name when the volume is not available (e.g. HDD not connected to the laptop at the moment), then I get Error 000000002.
Instead of a cryptic code, it should simply tell me "Connect the volume and try again!"
Getting Error 000000002 if I try to edit a file name when the volume is not available
Re: Getting Error 000000002 if I try to edit a file name when the volume is not available
It's the Windows shell that throws this error message, not Everything.
I'll try to capture this error and show a nice "Path not found" error message.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Great!
Instead of the path not found, the message I suggested sounds more helpful.

Everything 1.5.0.1356a will now show a nice (human readable) error message when renaming and the path or file is not found.
