i don't need any of the windows specific functionality, i can provide the filelist, i just love the search and http server.
i was thinking of just somehow using a cronjob to create a file list in a format everything would understand and then running the search/http server on linux. i looked through the dll but figured i'd ask here before going any further if the author thinks there's any possibility of it working.
is it possible to have just the http server run on linux?
Re: is it possible to have just the http server run on linux?
Everything is currently Windows only.
A Linux version of Everything is on my TODO list.
I will consider HTTP server support for the Linux version.
Thank you for your suggestion.

do you think offhand that it would function at all under something like mono?

Registered just to say: YES, PLEASE!
Long time Windows user, I have recently switched to Linux Mint for the majority of my "computer needs". But one thing that remains unequalled is Everything. There are reasonably decent alternatives but your program is still miles ahead and I have had several friends install it after I have shown it to them.
