I'm curious to know (and see) if a corner panel for the Preview (Alt+P) pane would be possible, ie, floating over the bottom-right corner instead of taking up the entire right hand side.
This would allow the top lines of search results to remain visible while the Preview only obstructs part of the bottom lines, or allow the bottom lines to remain visible while obstructing the top lines... automatically, depending on the currently Selected Line.
The size of the Preview box would remain fixed by its last resize width, as is the current behavior, but with the top (or bottom) of the windowed Preview box being adjusted to the media's aspect ratio height.
Suggest: [gui] Preview pane as floating corner panel, not side panel.
Re: Suggest: [gui] Preview pane as floating corner panel, not side panel.
You can move the preview pane by dragging the Preview titlebar.
You could move the preview pane to underneath the folder sidebar.
But this doesn't save you any room if you're not using the folder sidebar..
Undocking the preview pane is on my TODO list.
I did have this working at one stage.. I need to add it again..
The plan is for a double click on the titlebar to dock/undock.
I would like to have the undocked pane edges 'sticky'. (panes would stick to the Everything window edges)
A show preview on mouseover is also on my TODO list.
Thanks for the suggetions.

Ideally, dragging the sidebar should undock it and place it on the mouse cursor.
Thanks for the suggestion.
