Greetings,
A search is finding 7 files which do not exist on a thumb drive.
If I highlight the file name in Everything and choose "Open Path" the files are not there. None of them.
I have restarted Everything and also rebooted and still they are coming up in a search.
I am running Win 7 Pro.
I am not sure what other info to provide which might help explain what is going on.

Files found on thumb drive which do not exist
Re: Files found on thumb drive which do not exist
Are these files hidden or system files, or do they contain security settings to hide them from non-administrator or non-system users? Everything can see everything. Windows Explorer has these files hidden by default.
Re: Files found on thumb drive which do not exist
If you are indexing the thumb drive as a folder index in Everything:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Folders tab on the left.
- Select your thumb drive and click Rescan Now.
- Close the Options window.
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Indexes tab on the left.
- Click Force Rebuild.
- Click OK.
Re: Files found on thumb drive which do not exist
They are .pdf files with no special attributes.
