Please make sure Everything is installed correctly:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab on the left.
  • Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything
  • Uncheck Run as administrator.
  • Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
  • Click OK.
  • Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
  • Restart Everything.

The file might still be open, Everything will update the size when the file is closed.
The file might be heavily fragmented and Everything 1.4 had trouble finding/reading the file data record on the NTFS volume.
The file might be a hard link -Everything 1.4 has trouble tracking hard links.

Please try forcing a rebuild:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Indexes tab on the left.
  • Click Force Rebuild.
  • Click OK.
Does the issue persist?

The software already had those settings.
I did restart the PC a few times.

No, it was closed. Never had the issue with any other .rar-file opend with winrar.
Winrar was closed.

Windows claims the HD is "OK".
