Everything random freeze on options

Everything keeps on freezing when I click on options. I have tried to end task in task manager and run everything service enabled in the options. Sometimes when i click end task it says that access is denied. The only thing that temporarily helps is to restart my entire computer then it works perfectly fine for a while. Then, i get the same problem randomly. Can someone help ?

The Freezing occurs because the Everything database is busy.

The best way to avoid these freezes in Everything 1.4 is to wait for the indexing process to complete before opening the options window.

The indexing progress is shown in the status bar.
Wait until Everything shows the total number of results in the status bar before opening the Options Window.




This freezing will no longer occur in Everything 1.5

I am using everything 1.5a 1295a and also the freezing occured during the indexing progress

Please try running Everything in debug mode:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Console.
• ---wait for Everything to freeze.
• What is shown in the debug console? (right click the console window caption and under the Edit menu, click Select All, right click the selected text to copy it to the clipboard)
