Corrupt DB_&_Crash

Post by Flourgrader »

Hi Guys,
I have windows 10 on my laptop.
I run Everything 1.5.0.1283a(64)
I also run the same version on my Desktop PC.
I try to keep the settings the same as possible on the laptop and desktop PC.
I will point out, it runs Rock Solid, on my Desktop PC, it’s never crashed or locked up on me.
That said, It’s not so solid on my laptop!
On boot up of the laptop Everything is set to auto run on startup.
Here comes the problem, randomly I get this error message after booting my laptop.
Please see attached file.
Any ideas why? Answers welcome?
Thank You.

Thank you for the crash report Flourgrader,

I am looking into the issue.

This issue will occur when the database is no longer sorted correctly, or a reference is no longer valid.

Could you please send your Everything.ini in %APPDATA%\Everything to support@voidtools.com.
This will help me produce the issue on my end.

If the issue persists, consider disabling folder size indexing:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Indexes tab on the left.
  • Uncheck Index folder size.
  • Click OK.
