Ctrl++ Screwy

Post by therube »

Ctrl++ Screwy ?

I had an issue (maybe that is the problem) where Ctrl++ acted like Ctrl+-.
Trying now (on XP) I'm not seeing any problem.
Perhaps I was on Win7 at the time?

Just me or anyone else seeing this?

Edit: CLCL is not material to this.
Ah, just had a thought, CLCL.
And yes that is it.

Just not sure why there is the two are interacting poorly?

I'm not sure I understand your post...I'm on XP and I also use that program(I have a hotkey Ctrl twice that bring a list of 20 items(clipboard history))but nothing out of ordinary happens when I press Ctrl++ or Ctrl+-

If both CLCL & Everything are open, typing Ctrl++ in Everything causes the fonts in Everything to decrease in size.

After a few (Ctrl++) clicks, well, let me get out my magnifying glass.

Ctrl+- does not help.
The menu item, View | Zoom -> Zoom In does work (as does Reset).

If you can't get it to break initially, just try messing around.
Ctrl++ ... Ctrl+-... ...
Perhaps close CLCL, then reopen & Ctrl++/+- ...

As some point, fairly quickly you should get Ctrl++ going haywire.

Ah, OK, maybe it is not CLCL, but Everything itself.

Do a bunch of Ctrl++'s followed by a bunch of Ctrl+-'s, followed by ...

In short order see if it doesn't break.

This should do it:

> Ctrl++ Ctrl++ Ctrl++ Ctrl+- Ctrl+- Ctrl+- Ctrl++

Then you can add some more in for good luck.

It's not CLCL...Everything uses Ctrl+Num+ for zooming in(which is a global hotkey)and also uses Ctrl+Num+ to auto fit the columns.This gives weird results.

Change the hotkey for autofit to fix it

I can't find any issues with Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- with CLCL on Windows XP.

Could you please send the verbose debug output when pressing Ctrl++ ?

It's just that when Ctrl+Num+ is set to autofit the columns,if the search result is the focused element of the everything window,you can't zoom in.
Ctrl+Num- is zooming out(making the font smaller)but Ctrl+Num+ is not zooming it(making the font bigger)because AutoFit takes priority over zoom in when the focused element is the search result
