Hello,
I am using Version 1.5.0.1350a (x64). I have a network drive indexed. I added property indexing for owner attribute but only ~2500 of 1,500,000 files are showing an owner property in the search window. I have tried doing this a couple different ways without getting complete results either way. I have tried limiting it to one folder (with sub-folders) and still don't get anywhere close to complete results. Any ideas?
Can't index properties properly
Re: Can't index properties properly
If you attempt the same on a local drive, does it index that properly?I have a network drive indexed.
If it does, then tell us about your network drive.

Re: Can't index properties properly
It can index my local drive Owner property. I showed my network drive settings and my attempt at limiting the property index to one folder on the network drive with a bunch of sub folders.

Re: Can't index properties properly
Might it be a permissions issue (on at least particular, the majority) of files on Z:\Engineering?
Can Windows Explorer see the Owner (does W/E display the owner ?) of files on Z:\Engineering?
Compare the (Windows) Properties on a file where Everything sees the Owner against a file where Everything does not see the Owner.

Re: Can't index properties properly
Explorer can see owner properties that search everything can't.
I should note, on 1.4 when I didn't have it indexed, it slowly found almost all the files (it might have found all of them). It just took about a day if I remember correctly.

Re: Can't index properties properly
I haven't been able to reproduce the issue my end.
The Owner property is indexed for all my files/folders on my network shares.
Do you see any difference if you index Windows Property System -> System.FileOwner instead?
Everything is basically pulling this value for the Everything Owner property.
Debug logs might help:

Debug logs might help:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, check Start Debug Logging.
- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, check Verbose.
- Select a file with a missing Owner.
- Press Ctrl + F5.
- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Stop Debug Logging.
Your %TEMP%\Everything Debug Log.txt will open in Notepad. - Please upload this file in a bugreport.
