This is such a great tool!!
I wonder – is it possible to create a “Deskbar” on the taskbar, much like the Windows Search deskbar?
Thanks!!

An optional deskband is under development..

I changed my mind. The search is instantaneous so no need to wait or ask for a second key stroke. If what you're talking about is like the Google search bar, I'd agree. So much more convenient and faster to start typing and then ask for a Search.

I haven't heard of "Deskbar" or "Deskband" but it would be nice being able to add a text box to the Taskbar (similar to adding an Address toolbar) and simply type in searches into it and pushing enter. A Windows 7 gadget might also be nice but probably not as handy as they're normally buried under windows for me. Just a thought.

SlickRun is the answer. When used along with Search Everything, it's two amazingly effective tools.

SlickRun sounds interesting. Unfortunately its website is currently unavailable.
You might want to take a look at EverythingToolbar too.
It is discussed on "our" forums here.
