Page Count Column Doesn't Show Count for all Documents
I have the page count column turned on but it's not showing the count for all the pdf documents, only a few & I can't seem to figure out why because they're in the same location.
Here's what it's showing me. What am I doing wrong??

It's likely these PDF files use Cross-reference streams.
Everything doesn't have native support for these yet.
What does the Version property show for these PDF files?

As Void said, in the properties of a file
Use the context menu, select Properties and the Details tab.

I'm sorry I should've asked what exactly I should be looking for, not necessarily where because when I go there I see this.
These documents show page count...
& these documents don't show page count..

Look for the "PDF Specification" entry.

Re: Page Count Column Doesn't Show Count for all Documents
Interesting!! Thanks so much for that information!
Do you know if it's possible or have an idea as to how I would go about updating the documents created in those older versions so they will show the page count in everything?

Unfortunately not.Shae_Clark wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 2:47 pm Do you know if it's possible or have an idea as to how I would go about updating the documents

My attempt to save a PDF document with the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro available to me under the same name
or under a new name was unfortunately unsuccessful, i.e. the number of pages was still not displayed in Everything.
In Total Commander, however, there is a plugin (field content: [=xpdfsearch.Number of Pages])
which shows me the number of pages of each PDF file in a 'Custom Columns view'.
Re: Page Count Column Doesn't Show Count for all Documents
I guess the plugin reads the file and counts the pages if no info is available.
This is not the same as displaying a field of the meta data.
Btw. I use the following settings for this plugin
