1.5a Not Indexing Removable Drives

Since moving to a new computer, I have been unable to search my Western Digital external hard drives. Looking in Options > Indexes > NTFS, I find them both listed as removable drives. When I select either of them in the list, I find that "Include in database" is unchecked. So I check it for both removable drives and hit OK. So that should do it, right? But it doesn't. When I reopen Options > Indexes > NTFS, the removable drives have reverted to being unchecked. The setting "Include in database" is not remembered.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions. What's going on?

Thank you for the troubleshooting info.

Please try the latest version of Everything 1.5

1372 fixed an issue with volumes being excluded when specified in your exclude list, even when the exclude list was disabled.

-or-

Please try removing your external volumes from Tools -> Options -> Exclude.
(enable the exclude list, remove the volumes, then re-disable the exclude list)

Just making a note here...

Everything 1.5.0.1376a will no longer automatically remove offline volumes that are folder-excluded.
