Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
Everything sometimes highlights the selection in blue (good to see) and sometimes in light gray and I can't see anything.
How to set other highlight colors. I don't want this light gray color!

Re: Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
1.4 or 1.5?
1.5 -> I would think would handle it.
1.4, I wouldn't know?
1.5 ->
Tools | Options | General -> Fonts and Colors
1.4, I wouldn't know?
Re: Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
Maybe Everything Options - 1.5.0.1373a (x64): Fonts and Colours > Item: Result List > Inactive Selected ...
Re: Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
If it is not the selection color, it might be the offline color.
Everything will render offline files with 50% transparency.
To render offline files normally:

It doesn't work properly if there is a window on top of Everything 1.5 (e.g., Small Palyer 0.7.4 "Option -> On Top"), and then it goes from a blue highlight back to a light gray, almost invisible highlight.

Re: Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
Set the inactive selected background color under Tools -> Options -> Fonts and Colors -> Item = Result List > Inactive Selected
Re: Problem with visibility of highlighted file names!
I configured it according to your tutorial, but I still have a gray highlight, for example, when I click another Small Player window or "Play Music", it still goes to a gray highlight in Everything.
I don't know, maybe it also affects some other Windows settings. Maybe "Theme?" I don't know much about it.

"Highlight Color Windows 11"
I really don't know how to change this.
My current settings in the registry. I did not change anything on my own.

Example:void wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 7:15 am Everything 1.5.0.1313a will now dim offline folders in the folder sidebar.
To customize the offline transparency:
- In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
/offline_alpha=128- If successful, offline_alpha=128 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
- where 128 is the transparency in the range from 0 (transparent) to 255 (opaque)
- Everything Options - 1.5.0.1375a (x64)
- Indexes > NTFS > Local NTFS volumes: NTFS-60 GB (G:) (Offline) ... this is an USB drive (currently offline!)
- Everything Options Advanced > Show settings containing: offline_alpha
Name: offline_alpha - Value: 128
