Some files randomly disappearing from the results page

Hi. I don't know if I should report this as an issue, but given it started to happen recently maybe it is worth noting.

I have noticed it mainly with pagefile.sys
It shows if I rebuild the cache, or reindex, or reinstall the program. But then I don't know why it vanishes from the results, and never reappears unless I do what I stated earlier. Here you can see it at the top of the results.



Then it randomly stops to show



I'm obviously not excluding it or something, it happens even after I reinstalled the program (deleted all my data and configs as well).

I don't know if it also happens with other files, probably not since the items listed in the program just went down by one. It started with 1364a, previously on 1363a it was fine. I noticed it since I use the program a lot (very useful!)

You did not mention it, but can I assume the pagefile.sys file is still on your system?
(it would surprise me even more if that was *not the case, though)

Yup, I haven't modified it. At least manually, since I have it set for Windows to manage it automatically. Mayybe with a fixed filesize it wouldn't happen.

You were right, I searched manually for it (don't know why I didn't try that before) and it shows there but no filesize, modified date, nothing.

Everything 1.5.0.1367a fixes an issue with missing file sizes.

The pagefile.sys file should show up correctly in your results now.

Hi, running v 1367a but still have the pagefile.sys file size issue.
The file is there when I just enter pagefile in the search bar

You may need to force a rebuild as the missing size will persist from older versions.

To force a rebuild:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Click Force Rebuild.
• Click OK.

Does the issue persist after a rebuild?
