Hello altogether, I run Everything Version 1.5.0.1356a (x64) on a Windows 11 system, latest updates there.
On my D: partition, there is only one folder called "OneDrive" which is a mirror (I guess) of the Microsoft cloud. All files are also (and all the time) on the harddisk. But indexing width and height of the picture files here won't come to an end. Even after over 100 hours continuous "working" I don't get more than 48% of ALL files indexed. Finally I excluded the D: partition from indexing, and soon the list was complete with aforementioned exceptions.
Now is it still a Alpha version bug or no bug at all and cloud mirrors are not indexed in that way. By the way, the files themselves can all be found in a search.
Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Everything will need to download all your images from the cloud to gather the dimensions.
I recommend indexing properties from local files only.
To index local files only:

Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Thank you for these informations. I did as you told me, but unfortunately it does'nt change anything. Maybe MS Onedrive is something special? In my case, it isn't actually (only) a cloud, as I have ALL files and folders there kept under the "always keep on this device" setting. No idea, if this changes anything, though.
Thanks, anyway.

Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Is there a particular file Everything is getting stuck on?
The current file being indexed is shown under Tools -> Options -> Properties (shown at the top right).
Does this slowly change or is it stuck on one file?

Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
As long as I watched it is changing all the time. But there are about a million picture files and lots of others, too.
Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Is Everything downloading any files from the cloud?
It will take a very long time to index width and height from 1million+ images.
Some considerations:
Please try the built-in Everything property handler instead of the system property handler:
The down side is it may not work for some image types.
Store your images on an NVMe SSD.
Everything will max out the read performance on NVMe SSDs. (Typically 3000MB/s+)

Re: Indexing properties of cloud files - Bug?
Thanks for all the advice, but for now I've given up!
