First of all, thank you all for the great answers you give everyday.
Could you help me with something?
Description of the situation
When I am looking for files, my results are always "problematic".
For example, I want to find the file "correct name.xlsx" in the folder "D:\DB\Dropbox\test"
I do a search with the keyword "correct name".
the result is the following:
If the file is open, then another result is there as well, a result beginning with "~$"
I redacted my name.
What I am doing at the moment:
1) In Tools\Options\Indexes\Exclude
I ticked "Enable exclude list" and added
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
to the list.
2) I type
!~$ after my keywords
What I would want
I would like only one result to appear: "correct name.xlsx" in the folder "D:\DB\Dropbox\test"
AND I would like not to input a filter such as "!~$" after my keywords. I would like the exclusion to be permanent.
I had tried adding *.LNK and *.lnk to the field "Exclude files:", but it did not work, nor did ext:lnk.
Is there something I can do?
I wish you all a great day
