Folder Tree - How to hide the 'Everything' root treet item?

Post by Ralf_Reddings »

It does not tell me anything at all and takes horizontal nesting space:

Is there a way to turn it off? so that only my drives act as the root items?

I have looked at the INI settings, there does not seem to be anything there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I will look into an option to hide the Everything item.

Thank you for the suggestion.

The Everything item can be useful to deselect any folder.

Everything 1.5.0.1359a adds an advanced setting to hide the expand button to the left of the Everything item.

To hide the expand button to the left of the Everything item:
  • In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Advanced tab on the left.
  • To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
    treeview
  • Select treeview_everything_expand_button.
  • Set the value to: false
  • Click OK.
This can make it difficult to see if the Everything item is expanded or not.
Generally, the Everything item is always expanded.

Hiding the expand button will remove this left padding in the folder sidebar.
