Update Folders immediately?

Hi,
It would be great if the "Update now" in the folders/drive work automatically.Though a drive letter for pen drive is reserved and added , it would be ideal if it refreshed automatically when any pendrive(s)( not necessarily the earlier one) is inserted , otherwise it only gives out the results of a previous pendrive. Hope this is not as invasive as a HIPS. The same holds for folders which may have been deleted but still continues to include itself in the search results.

2.I add a folder c:\abc. Press update now. I delete c:\abc from EXPLORER , while the entry is still on in the folders box of Everything. I press update now with the entry highlighted. Ideally a warning could be given ,that the folder does not exist. Another thing I see is the results continue to carry entries from the deleted folder as if they still exist.

I have added to my "things to do" list:
Rescan folders if the drive the folder belongs to is being inserted.
It might be necessary to only update if the scheduled update failed to avoid rescanning each time the drive is inserted.

Folder indexing was implemented with idea that the folders would always exist, but maybe offline from time to time.
Showing a message that the folder could not be found with the prompt to remove it from the index would be useful. -added to my things to do list.

There may be a genuine need for some to peruse offline files. Can that be given as a choice. In any case might be the folder section can indicate in red those entries which are not available/deleted.
