[question] it's inside .. search hotkey related ..

greetings ..

weeks ago i learned here that i can start everything search from current file explorer location by pressing the [new window] hotkey .. and new everything window appears loaded with the current explorer path in the search field..

this was very helpful tip ...

but unfortunately inside everything when i select a result item and press the same hot key .. i get a new empty window !!

my question is .. can i do the same thing from inside everything itself.. i select an item from the search results press a hot key .. bring a new everything window with the item path loaded in .. not the full item path, just the parent path "the folder contain the item" ..

did i declared my meaning well ??

hay i found this in tools > options > general > keyboard > hotkey list

result list | hot item parent | search in everything

i made a hotkey alt + ` to activate

and this do search the selected item in the current window .., but replacing the current search.

is there a way to make it start in a new search window ..

I will consider an option to Explore in Everything in a new window.

For now, please try right clicking the file in the Path column and under the Parent folder submenu, hold down Ctrl and click Explore in Everything.

-If Explore in Everything is not shown, hold down Shift when right clicking.
