Hello,
and thank you for this amazing piece of software.
We have a lot of video files with metadata inserted in Adobe Bridge in the field IPTC Core Description. Is Everything search able to look into this?
I tried to add the column IPTC Description but I don't see any information.
Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere else but I haven't found this in the forum yet.
Thank you!

Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Are you able to show this IPTC Core Description information in File Explorer?
Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Hello,
no,I can see the field but not the content I input in Bridge.

Re: Video Files IPTC Description
According to Adobe, that data is stored in an XMP sidecar file.
No personal experience, but does the description come up when using Description from the XMP property category instead of the IPTC category?

Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Mhm,
it's weird because in Bridge it is listed under "IPTC Core", while the same clip inside Premiere Pro the description appears under "Dublin Core" (unless they are the same thing?)

Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Sorry, that is all I got. Don't use any Adobe products.
Someone else will probably be able to help you further.

Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Then presumably that tag data is not in the .mp4/.mov itself.no,I can see the field but not the content I input in Bridge
You might throw MediaInfo at the .mp4/.mov & see if it shows the tags?
(I'd suspect not.)
Re: Video Files IPTC Description
Correct, no tags on Mediainfo.
Would that mean that these description data are stored in Bridge, rather than in the file itself?
Would you be so kind to point me to a different solution to insert description data on a video file metadata, ideally searchable with Everything?
Thanks all
