Include File Name Path in Index

First, great program by the way. Dave, you are awesome. This program benefits so many people.

Second, I was wondering if it would be possible to include the file path when searching for files. For example, if I have a file called "Predictions" in a folder called "Movie" and if I type Movie Predictions, the search engine won't list this file in my results.

Maybe I adjusted My Settings incorrectly?

To always search the full path and filename:

• In Everything, from the Search menu, check Match Path.

Alternatively, please try the following search:

\movie Predictions

-Including a backslash (\) in your search will automatically enable match path for that search term.

Previously, I had opened Options and gone to Home. There, I had enabled Match Path but I guess it does something different.(?)

What you suggested did work but I noticed that the engine would return every single file that might contain both search terms. For example, if I searched for "movie predictions", it listed all 20 files in a folder labeled "movie" because every single file in this folder had "movie" in its file path.

What I am trying to do (and probably anyone who would use the Match Path option) is to find files that had "prediction" in their name in addition to "movie" in their file path.

When I choose Match Path, is it possible to have it return a result only if the file name contains at least one of the search terms? If a file or folder doesn't contain at least one of the search terms, then it won't appear in the search results.

I hope I'm being clear in my explanation.

With Search -> Match Path disabled, please try the following searches:

movie\ Predictions
(this one will only work if the folder is named exactly: movie)

**movie**\*Predictions*
(matches movie anywhere in the ancestor folder name)



If you are using Everything 1.5, please try the following searches:

ancestor-name:movie Predictions
path-part:movie Predictions
movie\\ Predictions

path_search_type

Hopefully, the engine can automatically do it in the future. It would be pretty convenient. I think everyone would love it. (Or, maybe I'm wrong.)
