All files are duplicate... v.1.3.1.636b

Hello

I just tested your program is super fast.
But after several launches it displays all duplicate files even refreshing. And even after doing a full refresh of discs.

What do you mean by that?

Are you using both NTFS & an EFU File List of the same drive(s)?

Please make sure you do not have any folder indexes.

To remove any folder indexes:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Folder tab.
  • Select each folder in the list and click Remove.

If I have to remove all the folders, your program is useless to me as I have hundreds. Both use Windows Search.

The folders are most likely already indexed with NTFS indexing.

Please check your NTFS indexes and folder indexes for dupes.

This is good. Thank you for your help :)
I indexed the folders which created duplicate files.

Hi Void,

Since there are a lot hard link in my driver and Everything can't show all hard link recently, I now both folder index and NTFS index my D: driver. This make sure I can find all the files that I want.

However, it's really a little inconvenience that all files are duplicated. Can it be possible to add an option to merge the duplicate result?
I mean, it will show only one result if the file name and path are same.

Thank You.

I assume you would want to keep the NTFS files and folders in case of a duplicate?

I will look into an option to do this..

For now, if you need the hard links, it might be best to remove the NTFS index for your D:

Yes. Now I am indexing my D: Driver with both NTFS and Folder. I think it will give me completed and updated searching results.

I am already used to deal with these duplicate files. However I still looking forward to the option you mentioned.

Thank you for your effort to change at least a part of the world.
