Hello,
I need to use Everything on a Windows PC of which I'm not an Administrator (and cannot get Administrator privileges) to index a folder (including file contents).
Is there any way to do this without Administrator privileges?
Thanks
M.

Re: Everything without Administrator privileges
Yes, use folder indexing for the trees you have read access.
Re: Everything without Administrator privileges
And even before that:
1. Ask your IT-department if they can install Everything on the system you work on.
2. Ask your IT-department if it is OK if you install Everything on their systems.

Re: Everything without Administrator privileges
Are you sure I can do this without starting the software as Administrator and without installing the Everything Service?
I seem to remember that when I select the tree I want to index, Administrator privileges are requested when I click "Apply".
My IT-department said that, outside of company-authorized software, only portable version software that does not require administrator privileges may be used by users.
