[REQUEST] double Ctrl to open window

Hi, please add an option to bind the same key double or triple press (or more...) to open main search window. That would be just awesome! Some other launchers already have that, but i just want to use Everything as the one and only search service.

Follow up request - if you decide to make a double(multi-) keypress bind, please add an option to ignore key combos if the front app is in fullscreen mode. Because in games people, including me, use the same Ctrl as game bind and there is no need for search window to pop out. At some launchers that is called "game mode" or smth like that. Also could you add that "game mode" option to tray context menu?

To enable double Ctrl to open the window in Everything 1.5:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Advanced tab on the left.
• To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
  double
• Double click double_ctrl_action.
• Set the value to 1.
• Click OK.
• Restart Everything (File -> Exit)

Thats awesome! I did all steps, double-ctrl feels way better! But in game (Battlefield 5) search window now pops out sometimes when i control plane (need multi-press ctrl key for that) and the game loses focus (and i lose plane lol). Please also bring that option to ignore fullscreen. Or maybe something like "ignore list" for select apps to not interact with Everything (but it is not that cool, since there will be a need to add every game exe every time it is installed)

I'll make Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> hotkey_user_notification_state prevent double Ctrl in the next alpha update.

Enabling hotkey_user_notification_state will prevent hotkeys from functioning when running a game full screen.

Everything 1.5.0.1344a will now use the hotkey_user_notification_state setting for double Ctrl.

To prevent a hotkey from launching Everything when a program is running fullscreen:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Advanced tab on the left.
• To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
  hotkey
• Select hotkey_user_notification_state.
• Set the value to: true
• Click OK.

Thank you so much! For me, when i reinstall Windows - one of the first things to do - is to pin Everything to the taskbar and remove default search. I wish Microsot had enough money to just buy your soft and integrate it as a default file search engine. They have ChatGPT for web search and need something cool for files
