Replace column to

Suppose you want to use only 1 column for date. but hey, there are "Date Modified" "Date Created" ...
You want to RightClick on "Date Modified" header and
Replace column to > Date Created

Another methods by mouse:
Holding LeftClick/RightClick on a column header for few seconds
or
Dragging a column header downside
will pop-up a menu like the menu

✓ Path
⠀ Size
✓ Extension
.
.
.

There is an Organize Columns option where a double click can be used to change a property.

After RightClicking on a column header, when clicking on "Organize Columns...", Name is always selected under Column in "Organize Columns" dialog.
I think auto-selection of the RightClicked column, can improve a little, but you are right, it's still too much.
"Replace column to" should be quick, and for the common properties. I wouldn't use "Select Property" dialog for that. You can add
"Recently used >"
to the list of common properties.
