Hi,
I like the new everything a lot, but im missing an option that i am using a lot in the 1.4 version.
In the 1.4 version i can search for a folder.... and then i can from windows explorer pick a file or folder and drag and drop it in the everything gui on the folder i searched for. it then will be moved to that selected folder.
1.5 doesnt allow me to do that and gives me the Ø sign of forbidden as soon as the mouse hovers over the gui.
Hope you can change that behaviour in the next updates.. because it makes "search life" so much more easier and better
Thanks a lot in advance,
Mike
Drag and drop to folders not allowed / possible
Re: Drag and drop to folders not allowed / possible
Thank you for your feedback Mike,
You should be able to drop folders from Windows Explorer onto the Everything search box.
The Ø cursor will be shown if Everything is running as administrator.
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:

Re: Drag and drop to folders not allowed / possible
Thanks for the fast reply.
Yes its working.
i had everything in the options set as you mention... but indeed run as admin was checked too. I looked at the 1.4 version and saw it was unchecked there ...
I tested it and its working again as it was in 1.4
So again, thank you
Take care,
Mike
