RANDOMIZE: Files vs. Folders

Post by ChrisGreaves »

I am using Randomize to randomize a (found) set of files, and as well I am using Randomize to randomize a (found) set of Folders.

But when I have a set of objects (files and folders), how do I randomize the Result List?
I mean, so that the entire list is randomized and in a small screen shot i can show a mixture of Files and Folders and state "Everything has found a mixture of Files and Folders".

When I select the point in the Randomized Result List which is the junction between files and folders, the last file and first folder entry (across the boundary) often turns out to be valid, but basically meaningless examples of a file or a folder.

Perhaps the new scripting enhancement will fix that?

Thanks, Chris

Everything currently does not have an option to mix files and folders when randomizing.

I will consider support for mixing files and folders when randomizing.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Low priority PLEASE :begging: :praying:
I can think of a dozen or so things that I'd love to see enhanced long before randomizing files and folders.
Thanks again, Chris
