Since 1338 (possibly before) the index journal isn't showing entries more than about a day old.

Any idea why?

First guess: a lot of changes to your files were made today. Windows Update maybe? Large copy action?

What do the statistics for your Journal report?
These can be found under menu:Tools > Debug > Statistics

So my journal holds 5471 entries.
In this case it took 4 hours to fill these 5471 entries (time last entry - time first entry) because I created a lot of disk activity.

No, it's been working for months and has suddenly stopped. I haven't changed any settings, and no more changes have been made today than usual.

What does that mean? No recent entries in the Index Journal? No entries at all?

For default settings there will be no more than about 2 days of index entries.
This hasn't changed with any of the last Everything updates and not by Windows updates.

It appears, that the new update has changed my maximum size settings in indexes from 0 to 2048. Setting it back to 0 has solved the problem, but I don't know why the update changed my settings.

Please make sure Everything is not paused.

From the Index menu, please make sure Update Indexes is checked.



What is shown for Help -> Troubleshooting information?

Thanks, the problem appears to be that when I installed the update to 1338, the update changed my maximum size setting, which I had set as 0.
